Day 8- a precious item

When there’s a blog about an item, you expect a picture, right? Well there’s not going to be one. You see, I put my precious item somewhere safe where it wouldn’t get destroyed, only I apparently I hid it even from myself.

My precious object is a piece of brown paper cut into the shape of a maple leaf. Its been sponge painted in the colors of autumn-red, orange, yellow, and a touch of green. The color has been distributed in such a way that no one color is overbearing. They all just blend perfectly and cry out “I’m a autumn! Enjoy my colors!”

This precious paper leaf was made by my son when he was in kindergarten. He’s not artistic, never has been. When he brought this home I was literally in awe of it. I told him how beautiful it was, but he didn’t seem to care much. He still thinks I was just being overly kind.

A precious item made by my precious person. And I can’t figure out where it is. That’s so like me. As soon as I find it, its getting framed.
