Dear November,

Last year, you were very strange to me. You took my grandmother away, but you did so peacefully, and for that I am thankful. You sent me through a whirlwind of emotion, from capable, calm adult, to weary and lost by the end of your stay. Normally you are the month of settling down for a time. A break between Halloween chaos and holiday stress. You weren’t calm last year, sweet November.

Please be kinder than October was this year. No more 90 degree days. No more getting sick. And please oh please, sweet November, please help me get this damn house under control. The holidays are coming, as you should know since you jump start the party as you come to an end, please help me make the holidays pleasant for all who cross my path.
